Descubren nuevo cometa


AstroTours | Sumando al ya conocido cometa ATLAS (C/2019 Y4), este 1 de abril los centros CBET 4740 & MPEC 2020-G05 han oficializado el hallazgo de un nuevo cometa de magnitud 17 empleando imágenes infrarrojas.

Por medio de la técnica del stackeo de 14 imágenes con exposiciones de 60 segundos cada una, obtenidas durante las últimas noches de marzo de 2020, gracias al telescopio Q62 un astrógrafo de 50 centímetros de diámetro y con la utilización de cámara CCD, un reductor de foco han podido capturar la imagen de este nuevo cometa hasta entonces desconocido.

Existe la posibilidad de que este cometa sea visible en el campo del instrumento SOHO C3 hacia finales de junio de 2020. Cuando la órbita esté más definida, será posible confirmar o excluir esta hipótesis.
